What is the 1st Latin American Congress of Women in Bioinformatics and Data Science 2020?
It is a community and non-profit meeting, aiming at promoting and making visible the research carried out by women in the fields of Bioinformatics and Data Science. It also seek to create networking and collaboration within the community of women scientists. This congress will bring together researchers from Latin America who work in the areas of systems biology, omics technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, data mining and high-performance computing with applications in biology and the public and private sectors.
This is an event with women as protagonists, but open to the entire community
Why participating in the 1st Latin American Congress of Women in Bioinformatics and Data Science 2020?
Because it is an opportunity to support and promote the dissemination of women's work in the fields of IT and academic research, and thus allowing women to assume the role of keynote speakers. In addition, this meeting encourages the women's participation in these sciences, providing a space of empathy, respect, trust and comfort for young researcher. The Conference program will include scientific lectures, posters and oral presentations. Part of the schedule will be devoted to education, specific training courses and round tables discussion.
